In the second chapter more is happening that in the first one, but there is still no threat waiting for any of the characters. You can start looking for first clues and totems here. Once the cutscene ends, first go left ('down the screen) and find the guidance totem #2.

Go 'down', in the direction in front of the stairs
Its no surprise that the whole Hunger Games plus Cinderella (a true fave of mine) hook caught my attention when book 1 of Erin Bedfords The Crimson Fold series, Until Midnight, came out. Lucky for me that worked out well as the book was totally enjoyable. Now the series continues with Until Dawn.
Now follow Josh behind the house. Under the open window you will notice an axe case (without the axe) - it's the first clue. Move the green chest in order to be able to jump to the basement through the window. After the cutscene, ahead, you will find the loss totem #1. Then, by picking the door on the left side, you will find a newspaper clipping. Walk through the door on the right, examine the family portrait at the turn of the corridor, enter the dining room by turning left. Now walk to the room ahead, where you will find a phone. Listen to the message. After leaving, go along the wall and you will find a photo on the dresser. Then, walk downstairs to the basement. There you will find the second photo.
Once you reach the bathroom at the floor, interact with the drawer
Finally, go upstairs to the only open room on the right side - to the bathroom. Before turning to the room, go along the balustrade. In the commode at the wall you will find the movie award statue. In the bathroom you will find one drawer. Inside the deodorant is the key item (watch out for the jumping wolverine).
A little fight might occur between Mike and Jess, and is bound to occur between Jess and Emily
Once everyone gathers in the building, small fights will start. They are harmless and won't impact the future events. However, the tension between Emily and Jessand Matt's actions will move forward, as part of butterfly effect (Whose Side Are You On).
There is a gate on the left side - until you activate the generator on the right, it's impossible to open it
You play alternately as Mike and Jess and from time to time dialogues will occur between them (the better option: agree with Jess and tell that she is right). Open the gate, but first go right in order to find and activate the generator. Collect the danger totem #1 in front of the shed. Go along the road until you will reach the old mine.
In the mine, together with Jess push the cart in order to unlock the passage
Jessica will fall inside - you can heroically jump after her. She will like it (Be Her Hero butterfly effect). Then push the cart. After a while, another one will ride from behind the corner (you don't have to react, but if you want you can press the button shown on the screen). At the crossroad, first go straight where you will find fortune totem #1. At the stairs on the right side you will find two clues: a mystical symbol on the wall and cigar butt on the barrel. Another clue is lying in the corridor on the right side: the map at the table.
After leaving the mine, turn right and find the totem

After leaving the mines, turn left near the barriers in order to find the loss totem #2. Keep going and at the end of the road turn left, through the gate. After walking through the bridge you will soon reach the end of the road, where after a cutscene you will switch to Sam.
Hannah's room is right from the bathroom (from player's perspective)
You will find the last three clues in this episode playing as Sam in Hannah's room. After leaving the bathroom, turn to the neighbor room. There you will find a tattoo company card on the right side. Under the window, near the bed you can find a postcard and at the back, behind the wall a document fragment lying on the ground. Then walk down to your friends. Josh will ask you to accompany him in the trip to the basement.
Before fixing the water as Josh asks you to, examine the baseball bat in the closet
You must help him with some small things. First hold the flashlight. After that, examine the baseball bat in the drawer, near Josh - you can keep it for later and make a joke of Josh. The bat will be useful in another episode (butterfly effect for keeping the bat or not: Something For Later). Now use the control panel. Turn the knob, and when a green light will turn on, push the button.
Go check the source of the noise - alone or with Josh
You can go alone or with your friend to check the weird noise. Despite the fact that 'someone' will jump out, you don't have to be afraid or perform any actions - it's just a joke. It's also the last scene of this chapter.
(Gold) All eight friends live.Below, you can find a digest of events and of what needs to be done to make all eight friends survive. Episode 4If the fourth episode, Jessica may die.
Regardless of the choices that you have made earlier, before you reach the cottage and Jess is kidnapped, when Mike starts his chase after the girl, you cannot skip the arcade actions, nor take the longer path ( take shortcuts) more than once. As soon as you find Jess in the mine on the elevator, during the cutscene, take a closer look at the body - if you can only see a cut on the chest, she will live. If her mandible is ripped off, you do not meet her ever again. Episode 5When as Matt, with Emily, you reach the station, disagree with the idea of going to the tower. This is not a compulsory option, but it will make it easier to make decisions later on and allows you to reach the best solution possible.
Episode 6In episode six, you need to rescue more people. Starting with Matt: in the beginning scene do not attack the bucks, if you do, you can survive only if you perform the arcade actions. Later on, you find a signal pistol on the tower.
Depending on your decisions in episode five, you now have two options:. If, in episode 5 as Matt, you refused to go to the tower, give Matt the pistol. He does not fire it and therefore, he will be able to defend himself from wendigo (while falling down from the tower, try to save Emily twice). If Matt wants to go to the tower, he uses the signal pistol right after he receives it from Emily. The only way to save him is not to rescue Emily after the tower collapses, and to jump over to the rocky ledge to save yourself. In the final scene of this episode, Chris needs to decide whether he wants to save Ashley, or himself.
It is necessary that you pull the trigger next to your head - thanks to this, you an save Chris in episode eight. Episode 8There are two key moments in this episode. First, as Emily, you need to escape from the wendigo in the mine.
The only way to do this is perform all of the arcade actions. Optionally, If Emily has the signal pistol on her (she did not give it to Matt in episode six) she needs to shoot the wendigo past the last door, or she dies.
If she does not have the pistol, she does not die, but she gets wounded. In the next scene, if you led Emily to safety and she got wounded (she did not have the pistol), you need to decide whether she is to live or to die, by shooting her or waiting for the time to perform the action to elapse. It is Mike that does this. Both decisions, in spite of the death a protagonist, reward you with a minor trophy. The final scene is Chris's escape from the wendigo. After the Stranger dies, the chase to the shelter stats. Along your path, you need to perform two arcade actions, and fire at the wendigo three times.
If you miss it, at least once, Chris dies. If, in episode 6 you did not point the pistol at yourself and at Ashley instead - Chris dies (he will not be admitted into the building). Episode 9In episode 9 Ashley may die, but this can be easily avoided. As soon as the group enters the mine, and Ash lags behind a little bit, you can examine the strange sounds by getting separated from the group even more (you find one of the totems there) but, under no circumstances should you open the trapdoor in the floor. If you do not open the trapdoor, you will rejoin the group after a while. Episode 10In episode 10 nearly all of the protagonists may die. First, as Sam, with Mike, as soon as you enter the water reservoir, examine the entrance to the left of the mill, where you find Hannah's journal that ensures Josh's survival.Another scene happens if Jessica (and optionally Matt) survives and gets to the mines.
Since Jess is wounded, each time (2x), when you are asked to make a decision, you need to hide and stand still. The last scene is where the protagonists are in the shelter. You play as Sam and there are two things that you need to do: first, rescue Mike, then hide and stand still for as long as all of the friends get out of the cottage. Under no circumstances, should you run to the light switch before that, or Mike dies.
